Rising star Emily Masser is a young jazz singer from Wigan, currently studying at London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music. A former student of the renowned Chetham’s School of Music, she also received invaluable mentorship from her father, respected saxophonist Dean Masser.
Emily’s breakthrough came with the release of Songs With My Father, an album dedicated to her late mother, showcasing Emily’s special arrangements and soaring vocals. The record features pianist Matyas Gayer, bassist James Owston, and drummer Steve Brown, and highlights modern interpretations of jazz standards alongside her approach to bebop and vocalese.
In high demand, Emily has already appeared at leading UK jazz clubs & festivals, earning recognition as “A new star of British jazz”.
